OPEN
TRACKS

In collaboration with the municipalities of Malmedy and Waimes, and with the authorization of the DNF (Department of Nature and Forests), we have created four marathon MTB routes, available as GPX tracks for download on the Malmedy Tourism website: https://www.malmedy-tourisme.be/fr/type/vtt/

They wind through the municipalities of Malmedy and Waimes, passing through several sections known from the RDHF, and will take you across “The Hautes Fagnes” through the valleys of Warche and Bayehon.

Some sections of the course cross wet areas, and it is recommended to ride these trails between late April and late September. Certain paths may also be closed during this period due to hunting activities.

Four distances are available, starting from the esplanade of the Malmundarium (next to Malmedy Cathedral):

  • -> 54km / 1485m elevation gain
  • -> 61km / 1605m elevation gain
  • -> 71km / 1685m elevation gain
  • -> 87km / 2025m elevation gain
